俗名又称金刚砂,是用矾土、碳素材料、铁屑三种原料在电炉中经过融化还原而制得的棕褐色人造刚玉。由于刚玉硬度高，提高摩擦系数的程度高于氧化铝，极小用量**足以产生良好的增摩效果。用量增加磨损率急剧增大，所以一般用量很少超过1.5%，且目度**低大于320目**细度在400-800目。
